The SSL Gold Cup is one of the biggest sailing competitions in the world. Many people call it the Football World Cup in Sailing because national teams compete for the world title. The final tournament will take place in Brazil this autumn.
Before the finals, teams must qualify. Finland will race in Group F together with Greece and Ukraine. The qualification event will be held in Grandson, Switzerland, from 14 to 17 July. Finland is currently ranked 26th in the world.
