What is ClimeCo?
ClimeCo is a global company that helps organizations reduce their environmental impact. They work with businesses of all sizes to measure, reduce, and offset carbon emissions by supporting verified environmental projects around the world, including forest protection, clean energy, methane reduction, and tree-planting initiatives.
Our partnership with ClimeCo started before the SSL event in Thailand, where we offset the carbon emissions from our team's flights—covering up to 100,000 flight miles. The project also included a tree-planting contribution to help restore natural ecosystems and reduce the environmental impact of our travel.
After this successful first project, we decided to take another step and offset the carbon footprint of the Grandson Qualifiers through ClimeCo's EcoCommitted™ Partner Program.
The program calculates the carbon emissions created by an event, including travel, energy use, and other event-related activities. These emissions are then offset by supporting verified environmental projects around the world.
Thanks to this, the Grandson Qualifiers were officially certified as a climate-neutral event for 2026, and SSL received the EcoCommitted™ Event badge in recognition of this commitment.
This is another step in SSL's ongoing efforts to make our events more sustainable. We are happy to work with ClimeCo and look forward to continuing our partnership in the years ahead.
