The line-up for Group F is now complete. SSL Team Ukraine joins Finland and Greece for the SSL Gold Cup qualification event, which will take place in Grandson, Switzerland, from 14 to 17 July.
The SSL Gold Cup is called the Football World Cup in Sailing, bringing together national teams from around the world. The best teams from the qualifiers will earn a place in the finals in Brazil this autumn.

Ukraine already has experience in the SSL Gold Cup format. The team competed in the SSL Gold Cup Finals in Gran Canaria, where it reached the Round of 32. Now, the Ukrainian sailors are aiming to qualify for another chance to compete on sailing's biggest stage.
The captain of the team is Rodion Luka. During his career, he has competed in youth classes, Olympic sailing, and the Volvo Ocean Race. Rodion won an Olympic medal and gold medals at both the World and European Championships in Olympic sailing. He has stood on the podium at seven World Championships in different classes and represented his country at four Olympic Games.

Ukraine is also proud of its sailing history. One of the country's greatest legends is Valentin Mankin, who won three Olympic gold medals in sailing in 1968, 1972, and 1980. His achievements continue to inspire new generations of Ukrainian sailors.
With an experienced captain and a determined team, Ukraine will be looking to secure one of the qualification places and continue its journey to Brazil.
