The final group of the European Qualifiers welcomes another ambitious team. SSL Team Turkey arrives in Group F ranked 30th in the SSL Nation Ranking, determined to prove that the country's young sailing generation is ready to compete with Europe's best.

Turkey has a proud Olympic sailing tradition dating back to 1936. While the nation is still waiting for its first Olympic sailing medal, Turkish sailors have built a strong reputation through decades of success at European and World Championships, as well as offshore racing.
The team is led by Alican Kaynar, one of Turkey's most successful sailors. A three-time Olympian in the Finn class, Kaynar finished 8th at the Tokyo Olympic Games and won the 2016 Hyères World Cup. Having spent most of his career in one of sailing's most demanding classes, he now brings his experience to the SSL Gold Cup as captain and tactician.

Around him is a talented group of young Olympic sailors eager to make their mark. The SSL Gold Cup offers them a new opportunity to compete as one team, combining Olympic experience with the energy of a new generation.
Turkey faces a tough task in Group F, where they will battle Portugal and Bulgaria for a place in the next stage. With a young squad and experienced leadership, the Turkish team hopes to continue the country's growing sailing story.
