I sailed basically all my life in one design, starting in 1994 with Vasco Vascotto in J24. After this, I have accomplished 15 world titles and 9 European titles in one-design classes such as Melges 20, 24, 32, Swan 50, and TP52. Winning the Melges 24 World Title with my good friend Giorgio Zuccoli, who was sick with cancer. All the crew was aware that it was the last regatta for him. He died after six months.
