Hugo Rocha competed in 3 Olympic Games. Winning a Medal in the 470 Class, in Atlanta. He still conquered 9 World Championships in the most diverse classes, from Laser II, Platu 25, J80, SB20, Swan 45 to ORC class, and he is also 5 times European Champion.

In 2023, he participated for the first time in an Oceanic race, the Ocean Race, with a 100% Portuguese crew, the Mirpuri Foundation Racing Team and after this experience he even got closer to the Ocean and improved his skills.
