Laura Farese started sailing the optimist at the age of twelve. After that she was competing in the 420, Hobie Dragoon and Nacra 15. 2018 she was participating in the youtholympics together with Matthäus Zöchling in the Nacra 15. Since 2019 they are competing in the foiling Nacra 17 with the goal of winning an olympic medal. 2023 they won the U23 Worldtitle in Geelong.
