Mikaela found herself in a sailboat the first time at the age of 2month. When she was 11 she crossed the Atlantic with her family with a 36feet boat. She started racing full time at the age of 13 and continued for 4 Olympic campaigns. Most succesful one was London 2012 where she won bronze at the olympics and gold at world championships. She quit Olympic sailing year 2021 and moved into big boat sailing. Mikaela is a a smiley team player.
