Give William enough food and drinks and he can take on anything. His sailing journey began in the Optimist and continued through the ILCA 4 and 6 before reaching his current home: the ILCA 7. For over 11 years he has been known as a formidable opponent on the start line, because starting is what he does best. For William, there is no better feeling than crossing the entire fleet on starboard or surfing downwind in big waves with more than 20 knots of breeze.

Off the water, he is known for his dry humor and endless appetite, but once the start sequence begins he turns into a focused fighter who makes every meter count. With his routine, tactical insight, and relentless determination, William remains time and again a dangerous rival and a friend you’re always glad to have around after the finish.
